                About This Collection

Silk Kimono and Kaftans, shaped for ease

Fluid silk layers dyed by hand in Bali, designed to move between body, home, and travel.

RIMMBA's silk kimono and kaftans are made in Bali as versatile layers that slip easily into daily life. They open softly over the body, offering coverage without weight and structure without constraint. From slow mornings at home to warm evenings outdoors, these garments adapt naturally to how you move.

In Bali, RIMMBA's artisans cut each kimono and kaftan from 100% mulberry silk, then dye the fabric using plant-based colour drawn from leaves, bark, roots, and flowers. Because the dye binds directly to silk, the surface stays alive with depth and variation. As a result, no two pieces carry the same tone or rhythm.

The silhouettes stay intentionally simple. Straight seams, open fronts, and generous lengths allow the silk kaftan or kimono to drape rather than cling. Therefore, the garment works across bodies and settings. You may wear it loosely over the skin, layered over dresses, or styled as a light outer piece in tropical climates like Bali.

                • Material: 100% mulberry silk, breathable and fluid
                • Dye: botanical and plant-based colour, applied by hand
                • Form: open kimono and kaftan silhouettes for layering
                • Origin: hand-made in Bali by local artisans

These silk kimono and kaftans sit between clothing and ritual. They offer softness without fragility and elegance without excess. Each piece reflects a slower way of dressing — one rooted in natural fibre, Balinese craft, and garments made to last beyond seasons.
