Karunia Fischer was born, raised and educated in Bali. As a third culture kid born of Swiss-American, entrepreneur-designer parents, Karunia grew up being encouraged to experiment, express, create and above all else, to be passionate about whatever she did. Emerged in the Balinese culture, inspired by artisans, painters and her family business, Karunia was designing her own clothes while in middle school. She then went in to study design at Rhode Island School of Design and then International Relations in the Netherlands. She returned from Europe to launch a swimwear line for a Hawaiian company, Noa Noa Hawaii before branching out to create her own brand of ethical clothing.
