Artisans in Bali cut each pattern to balance proportion and comfort. Moreover, we favour bias or relaxed cuts so the silk follows natural motion. As a result, the mulberry silk jumpsuits and overalls we make in Bali, drape without clinging and return to shape after wear.
The fabric choice for jumpsuits matters. For our overalls, we chose mulberry silk because breathes and keeps a soft surface against the skin. At the same time, it reads as a thoughtful alternative to heavier fabrics in warm climates like Bali. We dye our one-pieces and overalls in small batches with plant-dyes. Each piece gains subtle tonal depth rather than a flat colour.
