RIMMBA Workshop

This workshop is a sacred space for women to gather, connect, and create together. Alongside crafting a unique lingerie set, we will also explore Bali’s local plants and celebrate Indonesia’s ancestral craft of plant dyes.

✨What You'll Take Home & Learn
  • Your Embroidered Lingerie Set
Create a lovingly handcrafted cotton lingerie set (bra & underwear), embroidered to your style, that you will wear and cherish.
  • Natural Dye Alchemy
Guided dyeing using rich, seasonal botanicals — avocado seeds, annatto, brazilwood, marigold, indigo, onion skins — to bring unique, earthy colours to your fabric.
  • Melukat Purification Ceremony
A sacred water ritual, led by a Balinese priest, offering space for reflection and renewal as part of this creative gathering.
  • Evening Ceremony + Nourishment
Candlelit dinner, snacks & refreshments in a beautifully styled atmosphere — flowers, flower bowls, mats, ambient candlelight — a feast for senses and community.
🧘What to Pack & How to Arrive
  • Swimsuit – for pool time moments.
  • Sarong – join us fully in the Melukat ritual; sarongs are embraced—if you’d like, we’ll have one ready for you to borrow with care.
  • Your usual bra & underwear size – so we can prepare your custom set perfectly.

This experience is totally worth your money

I decided to gift myself this workshop to have a creative escape and learn about the beauty of botanical dyes. From the moment I arrived, I was not only amazed by the beautiful location, but also by how effortless and welcoming the atmosphere felt. Meeting the group of inspiring women made me feel instantly at home, and I felt so lucky to share this experience with them.

Karunia herself is a source of inspiration. The way her eyes light up when she speaks about her brand shows the depth of passion she has for her craft and her values. She deeply cares about quality, detail, and sustainability. By hearing her story and witnessing her process, I gained an even greater appreciation for the soul and dedication behind RIMMBA.

This experience reminded me how beautiful it is to connect with nature, share experiences with strangers, and to engage in traditions with so much history behind.

I would do this workshop all over again and highly recommend :)

on cloud 9 yet grounded

This workshop deeply impacted me on so many levels, I came out of it feeling grateful, passionate, and above all - laughing! We had the honour of meeting Pak Ketut who performed the Melukat ceremony before diving into the ancient world of plant dyes. Karunia is kind and knowledgeable, an Earth angel gathering beautiful souls and spreading wisdom and light. I am feeling so grateful to have joined in this incredible workshop, I’ve remembered a childlike wonder and appreciation for the beauty of Mama Earth and Mama Bali. Anyone who has an interested in sustainability, fashion, and conscious living will enjoy and learn from this experience. You will also make new friends and connect with likeminded women, weaving a web of artists, lovers, and peacemakers.

One of the most meaningful things I have ever done!

The workshop exceeded all my expectations. The location, the melukat ceremony, the food, the learning, the connections made. The whole experience was nothing short of magical. I would highly recommend this to anyone conscious of our impact on the planet and interested in learning more about botanical dyes.

ACTIVATED!!

Omg I am so beyond grateful to have joined the Rimba plant dye workshop! It’s something I’ve always wanted to learn and I couldn’t have picked a better facilitator to do it with. I have a new found love for this ancient craft and I’m so inspired to learn more! We made the cutest pieces and the natural colors we used are just so gorgeous! We were blessed up with Balinese prayer beforehand which made it extra special. I 100% recommend joining!

Inspiring

We did a workshop with a group of girls to celebrate a birthday. It was magical from the set up, to the process, to the final product. Can’t wait to do another!
