Bundle Dye – Klimt Kimono
Part of RIMMBA’s Red-Eco - Print Collection

Crafted from 100% mulberry silk, our Klimt Kimono celebrates the artistry of natural dyeing, inspired by Gustav Klimt’s iconic Woman in Gold. Using a meticulous bundle-dyeing process, delicate yellows melt into rich crimson tones — creating wearable art, like a painting brought to life.

Bundle dyeing is a sustainable technique where seasonal flowers and botanicals are arranged directly on fabric. Through heat, moisture, and natural solutions, their pigments are released, leaving behind intricate, one-of-a-kind imprints. This low-impact process uses less water, eliminates toxic chemicals, and leaves a gentler footprint — creating timeless, sustainable pieces.

The Klimt Kimono features a flowing midi-length cut with wide, U-shaped sleeves. A softly frayed neckline adds a raw, artisanal edge, and a matching silk belt completes the silhouette.

The leaves appear in natural shades of green and brown, arranged in an organic, scattered design. The silk or linen has a soft texture with visible creases, suggesting it might be hand-dyed or eco-printed using natural leaves and pigments.
