Bundle Dye – Klimt Kimono

Part of RIMMBA’s Red-Eco Print Collection

This red bundle dye kimono is crafted from 100% mulberry silk and honours painterly colour through a meticulous bundle-dye process. Our artisans in Bali arrange seasonal flowers and botanicals on the silk, then apply heat and moisture so pigments release and settle into the fabric; in turn, delicate yellows melt into rich crimson red tones.

The result reads like wearable art, inspired by Gustav Klimt’s Woman in Gold.

Because we use a careful bundle-dye technique to achieve these red and golden hues, we keep the process low impact. As the method uses less water and avoids toxic chemicals, you will receive a piece that feels timeless and sustainable.

The red Klimt silk Kimono offers a flowing midi length with wide, U-shaped sleeves. A softly frayed neckline gives a raw, artisanal edge, while the included Japanese-style silk belt lets you define the silhouette when desired. The relaxed, oversized fit drapes easily and moves like a slow, elegant painting.

  • 100% Mulberry Silk
  • Hand-dyed with seasonal botanicals using bundle dye technique
  • Midi length
  • U-shaped sleeves
  • Frayed neckline
  • Includes Japanese-style silk belt
  • Relaxed, oversized fit

Because each print depends on the botanicals used, slight shifts in tone may occur — from deep reds to soft pinks — and these variations become part of the kimono’s story.

In service to women — crafted with care for the womb, the skin, and the nervous system.

How to measure:

  1. Bust
Wrap the tape around your bust line at nipple level, keeping it horizontal. Let it rest naturally against the body. Measure without a bra.
  2. Waist
Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, keeping the measuring tape gently relaxed.
  3. Hips
Stand straight with your feet together and measure around the widest point of your hips.
  4. Length
Measure from the left or right collarbone (where a strap would sit) straight down to the floor, barefoot. Refer to diagram 4.

Length

Each design has its own unique length, listed in the individual product description.

sizing & Height

Every woman’s body holds its own proportions and rhythm — our silhouettes are designed to honor that.

If you are between sizes, we generally recommend sizing down, as bias-cut silk naturally adapts to the body.

If your height is below 162 cm (5'3") and you are between sizes, choose the smaller size.

If your height is above 175 cm (5'9") and you are between sizes, choose the larger size for additional length and balance.

If you are unsure, include your height and measurements (bust, waist, and hips) in your order notes. Our team will gently guide you.

Garment length & hemming

Length is listed in each product description.

If a length adjustment is required, please email us prior to ordering with:

  • Your full height
  • Bust, waist, and hip measurements
  • Your body length (collarbone to floor)

Our team will carefully review your request and guide you with care before proceeding.
