A quiet statement rooted in tradition and spirit, the Bella Kaftan in deep indigo is our very first garment to feature a hand-drawn batik tulis motif — a meaningful evolution in our journey with plant-dyed textiles.
Batik tulis is a sacred Indonesian art form, where each design is drawn by hand using hot wax and a tjanting tool. Every line is infused with intention — slow, meditative, and deeply connected to heritage. On the front, a single line flows like a river — a channel of life and movement. On the back, three moonlike symbols represent duality, balance, and the cycles of time.
This piece is fully reversible, designed to be worn front-to-back depending on your mood or occasion. Adjustable side ties allow you to shape the silhouette to your body — loose and flowing, or softly cinched at the waist.
Crafted from 100% mulberry silk and hand-dyed in Bali with natural indigo, the Bella Kaftan is cut floor-length with a side slit and zero-waste construction — using the full width of the silk to honour every part of the fabric.
