Aphrodite Dress – Aurora - Silk Chiffon

The Aphrodite Silk Dress in Aurora Borealis green hues, stands as a truly one-of-a-kind piece: since only one exists, and we will never make it again.

Crafter from sheer silk chiffon rather than silk satin, this green maxi dress receives colour through hand work with botanical dyes. Because the swirling greens draw inspiration from the Aurora Borealis, the print feels organic and painterly. As a result, it reflects nature’s magic with a deeply romantic mood.

The silhouette of the aurora silk chiffon dress features long, adjustable ribbons that wrap around your neck. You can raise or lower the neckline as you wish. Meanwhile, because the ribbons are so long, they will trail down your back like a floating silk scarf.

We shape the front hem slightly shorter than the sides so that the dress carries a sculptural flow as you walk. A deep, open back completes the line, and a touch of raw silk fringe at the neckline adds delicacy to this striking, sensual piece.

How to measure your handmade custom silk dress made in Bali, Indonesia from RIMMBA Sustainable Clothing

In service to women — crafted with care for the womb, the skin, and the nervous system.

How to measure:

  1. Bust
    Wrap the tape around your bust line at nipple level, keeping it horizontal. Let it rest naturally against the body. Measure without a bra.
  2. Waist
    Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, keeping the measuring tape gently relaxed.
  3. Hips
    Stand straight with your feet together and measure around the widest point of your hips.
  4. Length
    Measure from the left or right collarbone (where a strap would sit) straight down to the floor, barefoot. Refer to diagram 4.

Every woman’s body holds its own proportions and rhythm — our silhouettes are designed to honor that.

If you are between sizes, we generally recommend sizing down, as bias-cut silk naturally adapts to the body.

If your height is below 162 cm (5'3") and you are between sizes, choose the smaller size.

If your height is above 175 cm (5'9") and you are between sizes, choose the larger size for additional length and balance.

If you are unsure, include your height and measurements (bust, waist, and hips) in your order notes. Our team will gently guide you.
