The Aman Silk Skirt - Bias Cut - Mud

Every woman deserves a bias-cut silk skirt. The Aman Silk Skirt is designed for women drawn to ease and elegance, something effortless to slip on, simple to style, and gentle on the body. It moves with you, offering both comfort and a sense of quiet confidence.

The Aman Skirt was named after our love for quiet, refined spaces. Designed for resort living, yet just as beautiful worn day to day, from slow mornings to afternoons at your local café.

Cut on the bias for a fluid, flattering drape, the skirt softly follows the body while remaining forgiving across a range of shapes and sizes. Crafted from 100% mulberry silk satin, it features a soft elastic waistband and two side slits for ease of movement. It can be worn at the waist or on the hips, allowing you to style it intuitively for different moods and moments, paired simply with a T-shirt or elevated with a silk chiffon blouse.

Made in limited pieces

This piece is part of RIMMBA’s mud collection. Each skirt is created in our garden using Balinese mud, then sewn in our atelier at home. Time is taken to slowly build each layer of dye, allowing the colour to deepen naturally. Because of this process, only a small number of pieces are made.

Made in service to the female body,
with care for the nervous system, the womb, and the skin.

In service to women — crafted with care for the womb, the skin, and the nervous system.

How to measure:

  1. Bust
Wrap the tape around your bust line at nipple level, keeping it horizontal. Let it rest naturally against the body. Measure without a bra.
  2. Waist
Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, keeping the measuring tape gently relaxed.
  3. Hips
Stand straight with your feet together and measure around the widest point of your hips.
  4. Length
Measure from the left or right collarbone (where a strap would sit) straight down to the floor, barefoot. Refer to diagram 4.

Length

Each design has its own unique length, listed in the individual product description.

sizing & Height

Every woman’s body holds its own proportions and rhythm — our silhouettes are designed to honor that.

If you are between sizes, we generally recommend sizing down, as bias-cut silk naturally adapts to the body.

If your height is below 162 cm (5'3") and you are between sizes, choose the smaller size.

If your height is above 175 cm (5'9") and you are between sizes, choose the larger size for additional length and balance.

If you are unsure, include your height and measurements (bust, waist, and hips) in your order notes. Our team will gently guide you.

Garment length & hemming

Length is listed in each product description.

If a length adjustment is required, please email us prior to ordering with:

  • Your full height
  • Bust, waist, and hip measurements
  • Your body length (collarbone to floor)

Our team will carefully review your request and guide you with care before proceeding.
