RIMMBA x Hannah Singer — Mud Collection
Made in limited pieces

Mud Dye Silk Halter Top

Part of the RIMMBA x Hannah Singer Mud Collection, the mud halter top is a gentle entry into the collection. If you’re not ready to commit to the larger pieces, this is an easy place to begin.

Our mud halter top has become one of the most loved pieces in the collection. It ties softly at the neck and back, leaving the back open so the body can breathe and move freely. It sits beautifully on the body, and pairs easily with flowy pants, skirts, or jeans.

Each piece is dyed by hand using iron-rich mud gathered from Balinese rice paddies, layered with tannin-rich plant sap. Through repeated layers of tannin and iron, the color is developed and fixed into the fiber.

Mud dyeing is an ancient practice found across many cultures, from Indonesia to East Asia and West Africa, often held in the hands of women. Traditionally, these garments are worn during times of transition… bleeding, change, and healing.

In service to women — crafted with care for the womb, the skin, and the nervous system.

How to measure:

  1. Bust
Wrap the tape around your bust line at nipple level, keeping it horizontal. Let it rest naturally against the body. Measure without a bra.
  2. Waist
Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, keeping the measuring tape gently relaxed.
  3. Hips
Stand straight with your feet together and measure around the widest point of your hips.
  4. Length
Measure from the left or right collarbone (where a strap would sit) straight down to the floor, barefoot. Refer to diagram 4.

Length

Each design has its own unique length, listed in the individual product description.

sizing & Height

Every woman’s body holds its own proportions and rhythm — our silhouettes are designed to honor that.

If you are between sizes, we generally recommend sizing down, as bias-cut silk naturally adapts to the body.

If your height is below 162 cm (5'3") and you are between sizes, choose the smaller size.

If your height is above 175 cm (5'9") and you are between sizes, choose the larger size for additional length and balance.

If you are unsure, include your height and measurements (bust, waist, and hips) in your order notes. Our team will gently guide you.

Garment length & hemming

Length is listed in each product description.

If a length adjustment is required, please email us prior to ordering with:

  • Your full height
  • Bust, waist, and hip measurements
  • Your body length (collarbone to floor)

Our team will carefully review your request and guide you with care before proceeding.
