Marigold Yellow - Mila Silk Dress - Full Length Maxi

The marigold silk maxi dress radiates warmth and sophistication in a vibrant golden yellow tone, crafted from 100% genuine mulberry silk. Marigold — a rich yellow-orange colour that evokes sunshine and optimism — is achieved using natural dyes from marigold flowers and onion skins, celebrating RIMMBA’s heritage of botanical dyeing with plants sustainably grown in Indonesia.

This golden silk maxi dress is cut on the bias at a 45-degree angle, enhancing the natural flow, stretch and movement of the silk fabric. A classic halter neckline and adjustable back ties frame the shoulders beautifully, while the low back and moderate high slit add a subtle sense of allure. Designed with darts under the bust and a softly defined waist, this amber silk gown flatters the silhouette without compromising comfort.

The floor-length design gives the dress an elevated feminine sensibility, ideal for evening events, festive moments, or warm-weather celebrations where timeliness and effortless elegance matter. Silk’s smooth surface and breathable texture make this yellow silk evening gown feel as graceful as it looks, moving with you and maintaining a rich depth of colour.

How to measure your handmade custom silk dress made in Bali, Indonesia from RIMMBA Sustainable Clothing

In service to women — crafted with care for the womb, the skin, and the nervous system.

How to measure:

  1. Bust
Wrap the tape around your bust line at nipple level, keeping it horizontal. Let it rest naturally against the body. Measure without a bra.
  2. Waist
Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, keeping the measuring tape gently relaxed.
  3. Hips
Stand straight with your feet together and measure around the widest point of your hips.
  4. Length
Measure from the left or right collarbone (where a strap would sit) straight down to the floor, barefoot. Refer to diagram 4.

Length

Each design has its own unique length, listed in the individual product description.

sizing & Height

Every woman’s body holds its own proportions and rhythm — our silhouettes are designed to honor that.

If you are between sizes, we generally recommend sizing down, as bias-cut silk naturally adapts to the body.

If your height is below 162 cm (5'3") and you are between sizes, choose the smaller size.

If your height is above 175 cm (5'9") and you are between sizes, choose the larger size for additional length and balance.

If you are unsure, include your height and measurements (bust, waist, and hips) in your order notes. Our team will gently guide you.

Garment length & hemming

Length is listed in each product description.

If a length adjustment is required, please email us prior to ordering with:

  • Your full height
  • Bust, waist, and hip measurements
  • Your body length (collarbone to floor)

Our team will carefully review your request and guide you with care before proceeding.
