Private Dyeing Experience

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

Our private dyeing service is a personalized and hands-on experience brought right to your location of choice—whether it’s your home, a hotel, or a special event space.

We handle the full setup and guide you through the dyeing process in a relaxed and creative atmosphere.

Before your event, we’ll connect with you to learn more about the occasion and tailor the dyeing pieces to match the theme.

For example:

Hosting a baby shower?
We’ll bring baby onesies, socks or bibs for guests to dye.
Celebrating a blessingway?
We'll provide soft baby swaddles for a meaningful, keepsake activity.
Planning a hens party?
Let’s have fun dyeing underwear, bras, or other playful items — even silk dresses !

Each session is designed to be thoughtful designed by Karunia. It is engaging, and tailored to your celebration. All materials are provided—you just bring the guests and the vibe!

Duration

Our experiences run between 3 to 5 hours, depending on your event flow. Longer sessions may include a shared lunch break or extra time for grounding rituals.

We also offer an optional Water Purification Ceremony with a Balinese priest, held in the comfort of your home—a sacred 1-hour addition to open or close the space with intention. This is a beautiful and highly recommended element, especially for blessingway ceremonies.

Group Size

We require a minimum of 8 guests to book. If your group is smaller, we’re still happy to host you, but pricing will reflect the 8-person minimum.

Pricing

IDR 2.200.000 per person.

Please note: additional transportation fees apply for locations in Tanahlot, Uluwatu, or North Bali.

This includes:

  • A curated dyeing set, such as a bra and underwear
  • All natural plant dyes and materials
  • Full setup and styling of the space—consider us your event planners
  • Thoughtfully chosen decorations and special elements to create a truly magical atmosphere

If you’d like to include customized items—such as baby onesies, swaddles, or specialty garments—we’ll price these accordingly.

You may also choose to add any garments from our collection to dye together. These must be arranged in advance and will be priced the same as listed on our website.

Workshop Details

Indigo and dye materials

Nature was the only source of color until the 19th century, when synthetic dyes emerged. Indigo is one of the oldest natural dyes ever used.

Indigo-dyed garments carry a special significance, embodying the stories and traditions of the communities that cultivate and create them. Each piece is not just clothing, but a connection to nature, artistry and history.

Botanical Dyes

Our botanical dyes are carefully selected for their rich, sumptuous colors, magnetic energy, and seasonal availability. We work with powerful plants such as avocado seeds, annatto, Brazilwood, marigolds, indigo, and sappanwood to create garments and dye pieces that are deeply rooted in nature and ritual.

“Through my experiences developing RIMMBA and my own personal journey as a creative, I recognized the importance of cultivating female connections and community that fostered our collective feminine energy. Energy, that is rooted in the realm of feeling, allows one to explore our womanhood, tend to our individual well-being while strengthening our bonds with one another. Deepening our connection to the natural world.”
